Since no team is required for the project to run, as soon as the team is out, so can we consider there is absolutely no legal representant: no team, no compagny. So legal restrictions on these projects have no use: team only created the tool and is not responsible for the direction it is taking, and users are users, customers, are the one to pay for the services.

No legal representent = free from any legal restrictions

That is the beauty of true decentralisation: we cannot judge a mass.
